Hondo (Samuel Jackson) picks Street (Colin Farrell) for the SWAT Team, giving him another chance. Their wealthy international fugitive Alex Montel (Oliver Martinez) offers $100M to anyone who can help him escape, and every gang and criminal in LA tries to spring him.
Someone is really serious and downs an LAPD gunship tasked to transport the fugitive to a federal prison. Alex offers the team millions if they will let him go, and T.J. (Josh Charles) turns on them and helps him escape, along with Gamble (Jeremy Renner), Street's former partner who was kicked off the team for injuring a hostage.
Gamble shoots one of the team members, Boxer (Brian Van Holt), and they flee. They try to hijack a private plane, but the S.W.A.T. stops them.
Sanchez (Michell Rodriguez) is shot, but her vest saves her. Street and Gamble fight it out hand to hand, and Gamble is killed by a slow moving, oncoming train. T.J. kills himself after finding out Boxer will recover.
The team finally delivers the fugitive to the federal prison. They hear on the radio that a S.W.A.T. team is needed in their area. Their shift was over 12 hours ago. They decide to respond to the call. — Thanks to Xiomara Aranya!
